Busy Climbing Time

I've been really busy climbing. So whats been happening, did I just sum it up in 1 sentence?

Yes I think I did, been climbing loads, Fairhead was awesome with some very interesting company... Really good climbing for 2 days should really have climbed on the 3rd day as well but hey ho... Other things to note that Pex Hill is the new Brownstones!!! Or rather Pex Hill is really good, although we've known this for a little time... New traverses at Brownstones have been keeping me busy as well though...

Not alot else really just been doing the normal crag hopping that happens during summer... However I have this to note, with relation to two spots I've recently visited namely being Hobson Moor and Witches... I know this is going to end up being, well they can choose what they do etc... But I have to say I am slightly concerned at the continuing trend towards top roping and general "wall" behaviour at crags...

For example at Witches I saw someone belaying about 10 metres away from the wall, they obviously do not know that this would rip nearly all the gear because of the different force that is being placed on it... Solution?

Hobson Moor just seemed to be a top rope feast, however, I kinda understand the reasons for this. Although the erosion at the top of the crag should always be considered otherwise the issues at Anglezark might arise at other quarries too!!!

Anyhow, thats about it, will post the links to some pictures when I've uploaded them...

Oh can I just say this computer sucks...

Dzien' dobry Polish people

Well this is strange, I've just been looking at the stats for this very website, and I kinda guessed that quite a few people would be from the UK, so amazingly 76% of the share is UK visitors... However, I kinda thought that US might be the second, but hold on, nope Poland by 6% - 13% of the visitors share... This is so geeky I know but waiting for CRM 3.0 to configure on the Server and thought I would have a look at the stats... So anyhow, thats it, just wondering thats all!!!

Oh yes CRM configuration am going to put this here as well if you are upgrading from 1.2 to 3.0 and get the following error:
"The foreign key constraints in the CRM database are not consistent with CRM 1.2 foreign key constraints."

Do the following:
1, Look at the CRMV3setup.log found in "C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\Microsoft\MSCRM\Logs"
2, Example of the error logging is:
23:14:25| Info| The following foreign key constraint(s) are not consistent
with Microsoft CRM 1.2 foreign key constraints:
23:14:25| Error| remark: deleted foreign key
23:14:25| Error| tablename: leadaddressbase
23:14:25| Error| columnname: parentid
23:14:25| Error| referencedtablename: leadbase
23:14:25| Error| referencedcolumnname: leadid
23:14:25| Error| foreignkeyname: lead_addresses
3, Now I had a different error, so I reinstalled CRM 1.2 on a test machine and then checked the databases like this. Through the GUI, it is usually in the tablename: that the problem is.
4, Alternatively you can run/modify this (I didn't have much joy doing this such is why I suggest reinstalling 1.2 on a different machine.
4, a, First drop the constraint on the table.
4, b, Then:

ALTER TABLE [dbo].[LeadAddressBase] ADD

ALTER TABLE [dbo].[LeadAddressBase] ADD
) REFERENCES [dbo].[LeadBase] (

Well the pictures uploaded so...

This is rather annoying

Well I wanted to post some pictures of climbing on Saturday, and potentially me with the medal on Sunday but alas I can't upload photos to my blog currently. This is rather annoying, and well this is with Google, so sort it please Google...

I'll just surmise, we (Will and me/I (for all you grammar freaks)) had a good day on Saturday at Robin Proctor Scar (formerly known as Norber Scar). We did 6 routes with the sun actually appearing for selected moments of the day, but in the end the wind prevailed and we were too cold to carry on climbing... Alas it was a nice way to carry on introducing myself back to the World of real rock!!!

Then on Sunday we went out for a nice orienteer around White Coppice, the competition was laid down, although it ended up not being very competitive. I still beat you Johnboy, Will and Vicky. Someone moved the first marker so I spent 10 mins looking for it, decided it disappeared and carried on... Yes I did run some of it/most of it, and yes did go over on my ankle because of it, but still ended up winning.

Thanx to Pete and Jenny for organising it, was good fun to have a run about after some flags... I will post some pictures soon, or decide whether to put them on another site and link this to there...

Its been eaten

Somewhere 1 day I was convinced there was an Ashcroft thing that I did after the gig, alas its not here now, about why I enjoyed his music etc soo much... Found the gig review, wow, I thought there had been 2 posts in a month about him... Erm, I really want to know where it went though, I'm convinced it was on here for a couple of days now its vanished...

There will be an ice climbing report coming soon, probably tomorrow since I'm gonna try and finish the first series of 24 tonight...

Oh yes, remember "Life is just a ride" - Hicks (why this fascination?)... If you know then, you wouldn't ask, but on the 26th you'll find out...

Ooops, maybe I was wrong...

Damn, right I said it could be the Arctic Monkeys the band of 2006. Well, damn this Editors album is truely amazing but maybe its just me!!! However, I remember seeing them live on TV, Monkeys where better at the time... Wow, gotta see both of these this year... Then make the call!!! Haha, both very good albums...

So many things, so little time...

Well the titles a lie, yes, for once on my blog I lied... Wow, I had semi constructed this post in my head before I started writing, got to here and its all gone...

Right its all filtering back in to the grey matter - must have left for a moment, first things first:

  • Firefox

  • IE 7.0 (Beta)

Well I've been quite in to Firefox for some time, but alas I think my love affair is coming to an end... Personally (I know I have customisations on it) but the memory it takes up is getting silly. For example, testing 1 site out on the new IE 7.0 and Firefox, Foxes memory usage is almost double that of IE 7.0... OMG, yes me, approving M$ stuff!!! I know that IE 7.0 is only Beta, and is extremely similar to Firefox, but personally I'm starting to get used to it, and its not has hoggish as Firefox is... So thats the quick technical rant...

Then there was something else, oh yes, I'm gonna be away for a week while I'm ice climbing in Cogne, can't wait... What else to say about this, well its the first time I've been ice climbing. Thats about it, yes I will try to come back with noo black eyes.

Then the final thing is erm... Right there was a final thing, but its not final anymore, its gone!!!

Rant or just other stuff?

Well I was going to rant, but then I thought why bore you with some of the same old stuff over and over again, or rather I just can't be arsed ranting about it anymore? There was another point I wanted to rant about, but I can't really be bother ranting about that either because the response from you reading this blog will be the same!!!

So, since I ain't having a rant and its February I'm gonna start the month off with someone else who had a rant about stuff... Wow, ranting, rant whats next??? Well anyhow to the point, its Bill Hicks... Here's a link to some cool quotes from his shows and also his actual website.

Just explore, but 1 of my favourite segments from his shows is:

"The world is like a ride at an amusement park. And when you choose to go on it, you think it's real because that's how powerful our minds are. And the ride goes up and down and round and round. It has thrills and chills and it's very brightly coloured and it's very loud and it's fun, for a while. Some people have been on the ride for a long time, and they begin to question: Is this real, or is this just a ride? And other people have remembered, and they come back to us, they say, 'Hey – don't worry, don't be afraid ever, because this is just a ride ...' And we ... kill those people. Ha ha, 'Shut him up. We have a lot invested in this ride. Shut him up. Look at my furrows of worry. Look at my big bank account and my family. This just has to be real.' It's just a ride. But we always kill those good guys who try and tell us that, you ever notice that? And let the demons run amok. But it doesn't matter, because --- it's just a ride. And we can change it anytime we want. It's only a choice. No effort, no work, no job, no savings and money. A choice, right now, between fear and love.

The eyes of fear want you to put bigger locks on your doors, buy guns, close yourself off. The eyes of love instead see all of us as one. Here's what we can do to change the world, right now, to a better ride. Take all that money we spend on weapons and defenses each year and instead spend it feeding and clothing and educating the poor of the world, which it would pay for many times over, not one human being excluded, and we could explore space, together, both inner and outer, forever, in peace." - Bill Hicks, "Revelations" 1990.

RIP Bill...

Its been a little time

Well I could lie and say I've been really busy which I kind of have, but that would be a semi lie, because really I've been not really busy. Just been a little ill, and well busy with training over the weekends and during the week at walls.

So I spose, how things in the Toon World. Well everything is kinda fine, same old, same old. Although I am starting to feel a lot better at the walls, need to work on a bit more stamina before the end of Feb. See Feb is strength and stamina work. If i can get these two months correct then hopefully it will stand me in good stead for the summer months. Oh yes people want pics on here, regarding climbing, yes John I will get them posted when I get back home tonight I think, unless I end up doing something else...

So what else in the Toon World, well I'm still single, still working for Veritape, still sometimes developing software, still mmm, that about it.

Oh yes I got a new bike which I have been on its pretty awesome have the best hydraulic disk brakes on there, and double suspension.

So thats about it - Toon World view for another week. Damn forgot, but this is coming later have Ashcrofts new album WHICH IS AWESOME. Then I'm going to see him this Sunday as well. Can't wait.

Well that really is it...
